Established in 2009 by Alison Ward, 8 Monkeys Productions looks to produce authentic original works and events with a special interest in stories by and about queer women and gender diverse folks.

8 Monkeys Productions currently operates on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
